PSA: HAVE CASH and SPEAK SPANISH. This business and I were certainly lucky Maya's Cafe was closed and I didn't read any reviews prior to trying my luck. The chuleta sampedrano (pork chop with plantains) was what I was craving and this place hit the spot! Wish it had the mustard sauce but the sweetish orange sauce worked very well on its own with the plantains and pork. Still a number 2 choice for me but it's much closer for those in east side and open on tuesdays. Given that apparently the experience here can be inconsistent, all I can say is when done well it is good. It is pricier than I expect when I compare it to the quality of Maya's and for requiring cash. (If you need cash, the 7 11 atm is in the same block!)

I love the food here. Kind of like a hidden gem. Its an old building next to a laundromat and 7-11 but don't let that judge the book by its cover, the food is great! Good pricing for a large plate. I recommend the "Bistec Encebollado". Very authentic foods that reminds me of my mom..... Highly recommend!
This is the second Honduran food restaurant that I am aware of in the San Jose area. Great food, great prices and fast service.
Great food and friendly staff! They offer a wide variety of Central American and traditional Mexican dishes. If you're craving Baleadas you must come here. Their home-made tortillas are incredible. These guys know what they're doing! I've always wanted to try white queso dip and finally found it here. It was on point. This might be the only place that serves it in California!
